The British Dental Association Cymru called on ministers to reflect the views of both the public and the profession. Described by the First Minister as the largest response to a consultation in the history of devolution, more than 6,000 individuals and organisations are believed to have contributed. Russell Gidney, chair of the British Dental Association's Welsh General Dental Practice Committee, said: "This consultation has generated among the largest response of any in the history of devolution. NHS dentistry has ceased to exist for thousands of families across Wales, and they want it to have a future. "That they have been willing to listen on material risks to the future of NHS dentistry in Wales."
