Richard Haynes was given a dressing down as he was being jailed for 38 months for trafficking cocaine and crack cocaine in the Gwent Valleys. The 34-year-old from Risca is a convicted drug dealer who committed his latest offences after being released on licence following his jailing for 56 months in April 2022. When the defendant was found in Blackwood on Saturday, July 12, officers found he had 60g of cocaine and crack cocaine in his vehicle and in his boxer shorts. He admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, two counts of possession of cannabis, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance. She added how Haynes had turned to drugs following the deaths of his father and stepmother.
