LETTER | The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) welcomes the Health Ministry's launch of its Guidelines on Management of Bullying in the Workplace for its personnel.
This is an initiative that is the fruition of repeated calls on the need to foster safe and respectful working environments for healthcare workers across the healthcare system.
The well-being of healthcare workers must remain a priority, as it directly impacts the quality of care delivered to patients.
At the same time, we wish to stress the importance of ensuring closure for cases of bullying that have already been reported.
DR KALWINDER SINGH KHAIRA is president of the Malaysian Medical Association.
