At Monday’s meeting of the Moberly City Council, officers from three Randolph County law enforcement agencies were honored for their actions during a fiery crash earlier this year. Police Chief Bobby Calvert, Randolph County Sheriff Andy Boggs, and North Missouri Drug Task Force Director Jason Ward attended the session to recognize the officers’ efforts. The incident occurred on May 25, 2025, at 1:35 a.m., when Moberly Joint Communications dispatched emergency services to Highway 63. Moments later, Moberly Police Department Corporal Russ Untiedt and Randolph County Deputy Trace Johnston reached the scene and joined in the rescue. The officers’ actions were described as an example of the professionalism and commitment to duty that Randolph County law enforcement strives to provide to the community.
