Doris Lucille Hinkle, 91, of King City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Countryside Village in King City. On October 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Robert Martin Rainey in St. Joseph, Missouri. Doris worked at the dime store in King City as a telephone operator and as a clerk at King City Lumber. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Grace Smothers; husband, Robert Rainey; children, Bruce Rainey and Gina Rainey; and siblings, Evelyn Noland, Gerald Smothers, and Arvin Smothers. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home, 101 Prospect, King City, MO 64463.
