DULUTH — The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is searching for the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota,’ and a few Northland manufacturers are in the running. Local companies such as Duluth Pack, Cirrus Aircraft and ME Elecmetal made the cut so far, joining 13 other statewide competitors. Duluth Pack entered its Wanderer outdoor pack into the competition, which sells for $310 at its retail store located at 365 Canal Park Drive in Duluth. There are 456 Track Shoes on each transporter used to tae vehicles from NASA’s vehicle assembly building to the launch complex. Other competing Minnesota manufacturers include EDCO Products Perspectives, Hormel Foods, Polaris Inc., Rosenbauer, SpecSys, Inc., The Toro Company, Fairbault Mill, ATZ Manufacturing, Multifarious Inc., Carba, Inc., NorthUp Saunas LLC, Minnesota Teardrop Trailer LLC and Pillbox Bat Company.
