DULUTH — The Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey program is heading to Northern Ireland this season over New Year's 2026 to play in the Friendship Series, and their male counterparts won't be too far behind. Next season, the Bulldogs men’s hockey program will make the same trip to Belfast for the 2026 Friendship Four at SSE Arena, along with Colgate, Providence and UConn. ADVERTISEMENTSSE Arena is the home of the Belfast Giants, a professional hockey team competing in the United Kingdom’s Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). The 2026 edition of the Friendship Four will be the ninth edition of the four-team tournament first started in 2015. The Bulldogs open the Friendship series vs. Harvard on Jan. 2, 2026.
