Opening weekend saw all four teams in the newly renamed UPL Division,the Mustangs, Hawks, Flin Flom Bombers and La Ronge Ice Wolves face each other. The Hawks opened the season with 4-3 comeback win over the Mustangs at the Northern Lights Palace on Friday, Sept. 19. The Mustangs were in La Ronge to face the Ice Wolves on Tuesday, Sept. 23, results were not available. Dawson Butler had a pair of goals for La Ronge; Connor Hoemson and Alexander Raskin added the other Ice Wolves’ goals. The Hawks are in La Ronge to face the Ice Wolves on Saturday, Sept. 27.
