One of the tasks of his transition team is to identify opportunities to strengthen the local economy, attract businesses and support existing enterprises. Two of his transition team members are former leaders of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, Greg Barker and Don Erwin. Derzis said he also looks forward to working with a new City Council.
