The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office issued a shelter-in-place order Wednesday afternoon for residents on Vinecrest Road in Windsor. The alert went out shortly before 4 p.m.Deputies are searching for a 43-year-old man described as wearing a black jacket, blue tank top, jeans and white shoes. Residents are asked to stay inside, lock doors and windows, and check their security cameras. Authorities said the man is considered “armed and dangerous” and warned people not to approach him. As of 4 p.m., officials had not said why they were searching for the man, though neighbors reported a heavy law enforcement presence in the area.
