The newly crowned Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Wednesday, toured the Olubadan Palace at Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, as part of preparations for his relocation to the royal residence. The monarch was later conducted round the palace by senior aides as he inspected various departments and residential quarters. A palace aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that Oba Ladoja expressed satisfaction with the state of the facility, noting that only minor adjustments would be needed before his permanent relocation. Oba Ladoja is expected to formally move into the palace after the conclusion of the week-long coronation festivities. He will become the second Olubadan to reside in the official palace, following his predecessor, the late Oba Lekan Balogun, who broke tradition by relocating from a private residence.
