— The mother of the man who killed Sheridan Police Sgt.
Nevada Krinkee has been sentenced to more than a year in federal prison for illegally buying him the handgun used in the murder.
Eileen Marie Hurley, 71, of Sheridan, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison, followed by a year of supervised release, for illegally purchasing firearms for her son, William Lowery.
On Feb. 13, 2024, Lowery used one of the handguns to shoot and kill Sgt.
