Rosa Shoemaker Denny, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at her home in Statesville, N.C., at the age of 88. Beyond her professional life, Rosa found joy in simple pleasures. Her spirit continues through her daughters, Karen Denny Dowell (Terry) and Starlene “Star” Denny Huffman (Jeff). Early in life, Rosa found faith attending the Presbyterian church, which laid the foundation for her compassionate and giving nature. A graveside service to honor Rosa Shoemaker Denny will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
