Wilson’s new Wawa store at 1600 Forest Hills Road will open its doors for business Oct. 16 with a grand opening celebrating the city’s third location. Wally Goose will be joining local Wawa officials to celebrate when the doors open at 8 a.m. Wilson’s third Wawa store is the 16th location in North Carolina. According to a press release from the company, Wawa plans to build and open six to eight stores per year over the next eight to 10 years across the state. Each store will employ an average of 35 associates with Wawa, totaling more than 3,000 long-term new expected jobs across the North Carolina expansion.
