Gentle Mates made the most out of their last-minute inviteGentle Mates got the better of Legacy in a two-map series (Ancient 13-11, Mirage 13-4) to make it through to the second stage of ESL Pro League S22. The series began on Ancient, where Gentle Mates took an early lead thanks to a well-oiled offensive half. Bruno "⁠latto⁠" Rebelatto's impact in the second half kept Legacy alive, however, and forced Gentle Mates to come back from 10-11 to win in regulation. Mirage was an entirely different story, as Gentle Mates dominated from start to finish. Alejandro "⁠alex⁠" Masanet then found the ace in a second-round forcebuy, which proved to be just what Gentle Mates needed to sail into Stage 2.
