In her season exit interview on Tuesday, Minnesota Lynx forward basketball player Napheesa Collier called WNBA leadership dismissive and tone deaf. The veteran said she questioned Engelbert on why young players coming into the league are not making high wages yet bringing in high revenue. Engelbert responded to Collier statements on Tuesday saying that she has the utmost respect for the player and is disheartened by how she characterized their conversations. “One of the concerns is the game and how it’s controlled and played.”Collier said the league believes the players are dispensable.
