Connecticut is ‘in better shape' for government shutdown, Lamont says
['Mike Savino']
News – NBC Connecticut
Ned Lamont expressed confidence that Connecticut is positioned to continue services and programs - at least in the short-term.
“I think we’re in better shape than any other state in the country,” Lamont (D-Connecticut) said.
Lamont acknowledged those conversations could be sped up if the shutdown is dragged out and state decides to continue supporting assistance programs.
There’s probably going to be some holes in the budget.
We’re probably going to have a special session sometime between now and Nov. 1 and probably the later in the month, the more we’ll know.”
