The story depicts Alice, whose life connects to the Native American boarding school experience and to Navajo code talkers of World War II, according to information from organizers. Tapahonso, Diné/Acoma Pueblo, is a Haskell alum who was a member of Haskell Thunderbird Theatre. Haskell Thunderbird Theatre is sponsoring the performance in celebration of its 50th birthday this year. The KU Office of Sovereign Partnerships, KU School of Social Welfare, and Haskell Foundation’s Jeffrey Longhofer Fund are co-sponsors.
