Madang Governor Ramsey Pariwa has taken delivery of two new government vehicles, saying it marks the beginning of a decisive shift away from the costly practice of hiring cars. At a small handover in Madang on Wednesday, Governor Pariwa received the keys from Ela Motors Madang branch manager, Manase Kauleni. The vehicles – a Toyota Land Cruiser and a sixth-generation Toyota Hilux – will be used by his office to support government work. “Today you expect my hardworking public servants to walk and work? We are taking every step to cut down hire costs until they are completely stopped,” Pariwa said.
