Madang police have confirmed they are prepared to support the Electoral Commission in delivering the province’s long-awaited council elections.
“We are on standby to assist the Electoral Commission in delivering the long-awaited council elections for our people,” Baim said.
Baim also warned against attempts to disrupt the process, urging people to respect the rules and allow the elections to run smoothly.
The commander called on voters to judge candidates on their record and long-term vision rather than short-term promises.
Baim emphasised that the responsibility for peaceful elections rests with both security forces and the community.
