A Tyler woman was arrested Tuesday after a 13-year-old was struck by a car on Overton ISD property. The Overton Police Department said the young teen was struck by a car Saturday and became trapped under the vehicle. The child is not an Overton ISD student. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the young victim and her family during this incredibly difficult time,” Pool said. “We are hopeful for her full recovery.”Pool thanked the Overton Volunteer Fire Department, Christus EMS, officers of the Overton Police Department, Tyler Police Department, the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force, Overton ISD Superintendent Larry Calhoun “for their quick, professional response and assistance in this incident.”
