The Vanderbilt football program is entering a massive game this Saturday, with the potential for a program-defining win against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Commodores visit Alabama in a rematch of one of the biggest upsets of the 2024 season, when Vanderbilt shocked the Crimson Tide. Alabama will be ready for this rematch, but the Commodores have Johnny Manziel on their side. Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia burst onto the scene last year mainly because of the Vanderbilt upset over Alabama and how well he played. In last season's game against Alabama in Nashville, Pavia finished with 252 passing yards and two touchdowns on an 80% completion percentage while also rushing for 56 yards.
