A brave citizen videotaped an encounter at a police checkpoint where he was confronted and told to stop recording. His quick thinking and understanding of the laws regarding prior restraint meant that he was informed enough to explain to the officers that they have no right to ask him to stop recording in public. Citizens in a free country have no reason to be stopped randomly to be searched for criminal activity as it is a violation of their fourth amendment rights.
