The officer was suspended from duty and later resigned, having been told they would be dismissed following the findings of the investigation. The former officer has been placed on the national College of Policing’s Barred List, preventing them from working within policing and other law enforcement bodies. “All officers and staff must act with the highest standards of integrity, both in and outside of the workplace. “Given the officer’s discreditable conduct, it is right he has received the outcome of gross misconduct. "We will continue to take robust action against any officer or member of staff who is found to not uphold the required standards of professional behaviour.”
