Maryland lawmakers are considering new regulations for autonomous vehicles, with a proposal that would require a human driver to be present when operating on state highways. During a legislative hearing Thursday, Montgomery County Delegate Vaughn Stewart pushed for restrictions, citing safety concerns. "I don't want Maryland to be a test site for this," Stewart said. "I don't want to have Maryland children or Maryland families lose a loved one, so that they can work out the kinks in their technology.
