An eyewitness told the Standard that students were on a bus at Cirencester College due to go home this afternoon (Wednesday, September 17) when the driver began shouting. The driver then got the youngsters to hide under the seats on the top deck of the bus. At around 4pm today, Cirencester College had posted on social media: “The college is currently in lockdown while we investigate a threat.”Police were also called to the college. However, at around 5.15pm, the college posted to say that the site was back open. “Thank you for your patience.”A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: “We were called shortly before 4.15pm today (Wednesday) after Cirencester College initiated a lockdown due to a threat.
