No matter how old I get, the start of September always makes me think of the return to school after what seemed like the long summer holidays. Some years it meant a change of class and teacher but for much younger children it was the start of their academic journey. Ciren once had several schools including the now defunct convent school - shown here in today's pictures from the 1950s and 60s.
