Leicestershire live updates as M1 closed after 'serious collision'

The M1 has been stopped in both directions this afternoon after a crash in Leicestershire. Leicestershire Police have closed the motorway between Lutterworth and Leicester. National Highways reported at 12.20pm today: "The M1 in Leicestershire is CLOSED in both directions between J20 (Lutterworth) and J21 (M69, Leicester) due to a serious collision.
