But once inside, Mr Howard, who did not have a phone, tried to get the boy's mother to lend him her phone, which she refused.
Mrs Prior told the jury: "After Louis Howard had been in the house for about 15 minutes, arguing could be heard."
Mrs Prior told the jury that he was asking his mum if he had been reasonable stabbing the man.
It is alleged the neighbour moved her CCTV camera so it would not show the boy's escape, and that both she and the boy's mother lied to Leicestershire Police.
