Blaby District Council (BDC) said Gladman Developments Ltd provided "strong justification and evidence that contradicted the views of the council" during the hearing. ‌Gladman launched its appeal on the controversial 155-home plan for greenfield land off Oak Road, Littlethorpe, near Narborough railway station, earlier this year. The move came months after councillors rejected the scheme, deeming it an "unwarranted intrusion", despite BDC planning officers recommending its approval. The council also said that "during the [appeal] inquiry Gladman’s legal team provided strong justification and evidence that contradicted the views of the council".
