On September 19, 2025, the Department of the Treasury published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking to solicit public comment on questions relating to implementation of the GENIUS Act. The GENIUS Act requires nearly 20 rulemakings by Treasury and other federal agencies. Here, Treasury is seeking comment on six broad categories of information that will help inform future rulemaking. The comment period provides an opportunity for industry and consumers to provide critical feedback to help shape upcoming rules.
