The Headwaters Center for Lifelong Learning (HCLL) presents Lawrence Moe, Ph.D., with “New Land, New Life: 1825-2025,” Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Park Rapids American Legion.
The program from 1 to 2:30 p.m. is open to the public, free of charge and handicap accessible.
Moe will then discuss a range of perspectives on continuing efforts to preserve and appreciate Norwegian culture in the United States.
According to the release, the presentation originated in a keynote address to the 2024 convention of the Sons of Norway District 1.
He was honored as a U of M alum of notable achievement and has received many other awards.
