CBS 58MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A firefighter was injured early Friday, Sept. 19 when the roof of a vacant building collapsed during a fire near the corner of 38th and Wright. Milwaukee Fire Department officials tell CBS 58 that the call came in at 12:41 a.m. for a blaze inside a 2.5-story wood frame structure. Crews began their attack and confirmed the building was unoccupied. The roof later collapsed, injuring one firefighter. Officials said the firefighter was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
