SHAFAQNA – The office of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah Sistani, expressed gratitude to all those who extended condolences on the occasion of the passing of the respected wife of the Grand Ayatollah. According to Shafaqna, the text of the statement issued by the office of The Grand Ayatollah Sistani is as follows:In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful“We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who expressed their deepest condolences and sympathy to His Eminence the Grand Religious Authority (may his blessings endure) and his family in this great loss—especially those who, from inside Iraq (from various provinces) and abroad, took the trouble to attend the funeral procession or the mourning ceremonies, as well as those who sent condolence messages or issued statements in print and broadcast media. We are particularly grateful to the revered scholars and dignitaries, the great religious authorities, the learned scholars, and the dear students of the seminaries and academic centers—both inside and outside Iraq—as well as to the respected tribal sheikhs, honorable personalities, official institutions under various titles, religious and popular activities, and all the dear citizens and others for their condolences and expressions of affection.
