(Photo courtesy of Douro)Douro, a Portuguese seafood restaurant from the hospitality group that owns Twelve and Evo Kitchen + Bar, is slated to open on Thames Street in Portland in early October. Wyatt will run the Douro kitchen with Chef de Cuisine Jim Stein, who worked with him at Twelve, where the kitchen is now overseen by Executive Chef Hannah Ryder. Core menu items include a raw bar seafood tower and the Cataplana, a traditional Portuguese seafood dish for two served in a copper pot. Douro’s name pays homage to Portugal’s Douro wine region, located along the Douro River that flows from Spain into Portugal.
