Article contentHowever, while this may be true in one sense, space scientists are making efforts to better understand the internal nature of the sun in hopes that by being able to read the sun more accurately, they may, one day, be able to forecast when a solar storm will occur, and perhaps even how intense it will be — hopefully with enough advance warning as to the nature, intensity, and possible impact of the pending solar storm, thereby giving governments and interested agencies time to initiate mitigating steps.
