The Independent Police Investigative Directorate, IPID, says a Limpopo policeman was convicted of killing his estranged wife in a shooting incident in 2022. IPID spokesperson, Phaladi Shuping, said that Warrant Officer Mmachoene Ntjana (53) was convicted on Wednesday in the High Court in Polokwane of killing his wife, Millicent. He said Ntjana, who was attached to the Polokwane Highway Patrol, went to his wife’s house in Seshego Zone 8 in October 2022, where an argument ensued. The matter was reported to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, and Ntjana handed himself over to Mogwadi SAPS five days later.
