Metrolink and L.A. Metro are among several public transportation services offering free rides on Wednesday to encourage Southern Californians to choose greener transportation in honor of the 8th annual California Clean Air Day.
Wednesday also marks Metrolink’s third and final free-ride day of 2025, in which passengers can board any Metrolink or Arrow train and ride for free all day.
“California Clean Air Day is a reminder that small, everyday choices, such as taking the train instead of driving, can have a big impact on our environment,” Metrolink Board Chair Doug Chaffee said.
Together, these steps bring us closer to a healthier, more sustainable Southern California.”Bus riders on L.A. Metro will also enjoy free rides for Clean Air Day.
“Help reduce smog by taking transit,” Metro Los Angeles posted on X.
