Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, a janky, low budget PlayStation Vita RPG from 2015, is one of my favorite games of all time. A literal decade later, that team has finally produced a follow-up, Digimon Story Time Stranger. Digimon games always play with digital space but within severe limitations, be it 2D visuals on a handheld or having to reuse assets over and over. Time Stranger doesn’t always hit the way I was hoping, because I foolishly expected More Cyber Sleuth. Digimon Story Time Stranger is available on October 3, 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
