SP Energy Networks will be carrying out works in Watergate Street in Llanfair Caereinion from Monday, October 20, to Friday, November 14. Powys County Councillor for Llanfair Caereinion, Gareth Jones, said a "significant section" of the town will be affected. "This work is expected to cause major disruption for residents, businesses, service buses, school transport, and pedestrians," Cllr Jones said. Work will be carried out to upgrade 400 metres of cables in Watergate Street. Watergate Street is one of the main routes into Llanfair Caereinion for people travelling from the Newtown and Tregynon areas.
