Richard QuainooA Senior Consultant at the Technology and Transformation Department at Deloitte, Richard Quainoo, has called on the country to invest heavily in data infrastructure and governance to ensure that Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions are impactful and ethical. Speaking as a panelist of one of the sessions at the 1st Pan African AI Summit in Accra, Mr. Quainoo said AI thrives on data, but not just any data. According to him, regulators must evolve with the technology — understanding its implications, establishing ethical frameworks, and ensuring that AI adoption aligns with societal values and safeguards. For Deloitte, these insights, emphasise the importance of advising clients and stakeholders not only on technical AI adoption but also on the broader ecosystem required to unlock sustainable impact. The maiden Pan-African AI Summit 2025 convened leaders shaping the African continent’s AI future.
