The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Ben Abdallah Alhassan, has pledged bold reforms to tackle the municipality’s sanitation crisis, vowing to transform the area into Ghana's cleanest city. During an engagement with traditional leaders and residents to brainstorm solutions to poor sanitation, the MCE announced measures to ensure enhanced sanitation in the municipality. I belong to a political party, but I have cautioned my office that sanitation is not a political matter,” he emphasised. The Municipal Assembly has reaffirmed its vision to make Asokore Mampong a model city for sanitation in Ghana.
