In his address, Minister Attard emphasised the enduring importance of the 1959 Convention, describing it as a cornerstone of judicial cooperation in Europe.
The Protocol introduces a series of reforms aimed at modernizing judicial cooperation.
“These provisions are not only innovative and practical, but they also uphold the highest standards of rule of law, due process, and human dignity,” Minister Attard stated.
Minister Attard called on all remaining Member States to join in signing the Protocol, reinforcing a united front against organized crime and outdated procedures.
“This is a clear message - Europe stands together to ensure justice knows no borders,” he concluded.
