A PN statement Friday said during the meeting, which forms part of a series of pre-Budget 2026 meetings and the first one of Alex Borg with the Malta Chamber since becoming Leader of the PN, the President of The Malta Chamber William Spiteri Bailey and Chief Executive Officer Marthese Portelli presented the pre-budget document prepared by the Chamber. The Malta Chamber insisted that the country's problems cannot be solved with quick fixes but with wise decisions and a long-term vision, as the Partit Nazzjonalista has also long maintained, the PN statement said. At the end of the meeting, Borg said that he looks forward to further sharing of ideas and full collaboration with The Malta Chamber. A joint effort that must lead to stronger businesses, a growing economy and benefits for the Maltese and Gozitan people as a whole.
