Large parts of Gurgaon were inundated in this year’s unusually heavy monsoon rain, causing severe disruption of daily life. Dahiya assessed the situation in 40 areas affected by sewage overflow issues at a review meeting of the Sewage Management Cell on Monday. The civic body had constituted the Sewerage Management Cell in July to improve the management, maintenance, and monitoring of sewerage systems in the city. The Cell oversees the regular monitoring of sewerage operations, ensures the timely payment of related bills, and addresses operational issues. It plans for future needs, executes tender processes, and identifies suitable land for new sewerage projects.
