A man from Gujarat’s Amreli was arrested for allegedly murdering his former lover, police constable Rinkal Hasmukh Vanzara, at her brother’s house, police said. The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Gandhinagar Police on Wednesday arrested Mohan Nagji Parghi (33), who is married to another woman. During questioning, Parghi allegedly confessed to the crime. According to the statement, Parghi allegedly revealed that he and Vanzara, were both from Gariadhar town of Bhavnagar and had studied together in Amreli in 2011-12. Parghi told the police that Vanzara kept pressuring him to marry her and that he “suffocated” her with a piece of cloth.
