ADVERTISEMENTMatthew Agius, executive member of Momentum asked: "Are we truly independent if public institutions are weakened by secrecy, conflicts of interest, and decisions that benefit the few rather than the common good?" It must be seen in the way public resources are managed responsibly. Momentum calls on citizens, civil society, and institutions to use this Independence Day not only to celebrate our history but also to renew demand for accountability. "Malta deserves institutions that are strong, transparent, and committed to safeguarding the future of the country for all."
