The accused had attempted to defraud Bank of India by reportedly encashing forged demand drafts (DDs) worth Rs 45 lakh.
(Credit: Wikimedia Commons)The CBI Court of Ahmedabad, on Wednesday, convicted five persons in connection with the Rs 1.08 crore bank fraud case while sentencing them to three years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 each.
The convicts have been identified as Salauddin Shaikh, Kriti Kumar R Saha, Kamlesh D Rao, Mahendra C Vakharia and Bhupendra Manilal Vakharia.
