Hurricane Imelda was expected to pass near or over Bermuda on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A hurricane warning remained in effect for Bermuda, and forecasters warned Imelda will approach the island later today. The National Hurricane Center said hurricane-force winds, damaging waves and flash flooding will be possible in Bermuda from Imelda. The hurricane center was also tracking the remnants of Hurricane Humberto, which was ruled a post-tropical storm Wednesday and is no threat to land. Imelda could bring 2 to 4 inches of rain and a dangerous storm surge to the island, the hurricane center said.
