A 70-year-old man fatally shot his son at a Shelby County home Tuesday night, but investigators say no criminal charges are expected at this time. They arrived to find 42-year-old Dusty Freeman dead on the scene. Thomas Nordyke said Dusty Freeman lived at the residence with his parents. “At this stage of the investigation, there is insufficient evidence to file immediately criminal charges,” Nordyke said. “However, the case remains open, and investigators will continue gathering information.”The findings of the probe will be turned to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
